1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Horizontes LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Puerto Rico limited liability company, governing your access to and use of the DocGen platform available at docgen.tigerteampr.com (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocGen is a document generation platform designed for disability law firms and representatives. The Service automates the creation of Social Security Administration (SSA) disability benefits filing packets, including forms such as SSA-1696 (Appointment of Representative), SSA-16 (Request for Hearing), SSA-827 (Authorization to Disclose Information), and related documents.

The Service generates documents based on data you provide. It does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or any professional legal services. You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated documents for accuracy and completeness before filing.

3. Account Registration and Organization

To use the Service, you must create an account and an organization. Each organization represents a law firm or representative entity. The account creator becomes the organization owner with full administrative privileges.

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
  • Organization owners may invite additional team members with role-based access (admin or member roles).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Use the Service to generate documents for fraudulent filings or any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access another organization's data or bypass security controls.
  • Upload malicious files, scripts, or content designed to compromise the Service.
  • Use the Service in a manner that could disable, overburden, or impair its operation.
  • Share your account credentials or API keys with unauthorized individuals.

As a licensed attorney or authorized representative, you bear full professional responsibility for all documents filed with the SSA using materials generated by this Service.

5. Data Handling and Security

The Service processes sensitive personal information including Social Security numbers, medical information, and financial data. We implement the following security measures:

  • Encryption at rest: All sensitive fields (SSN, bank account numbers, routing numbers) are encrypted using Fernet symmetric encryption with HKDF-derived per-tenant keys.
  • Tenant isolation: Each organization's data is isolated using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) policies enforced at the database level.
  • Encryption in transit: All connections use TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Access control: Role-based access control (RBAC) with owner, admin, and member roles.

6. Billing and Payment

The Service offers usage-based billing. Your plan determines the number of document generations allowed per billing period. Plan details and limits are displayed in your organization settings.

  • Billing provider: Payments are processed by Polar.sh. By using paid features, you also agree to Polar.sh's terms of service.
  • Grace period: If payment fails, your account enters a 14-day warning period (full access), followed by a read-only period (days 14-21), and suspension after 21 days.
  • Reactivation: Access is restored immediately upon successful payment.
  • No refunds: Usage-based charges are non-refundable. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact support@tigerteampr.com.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Your data: You retain all ownership rights to the case data, documents, and content you create or upload to the Service.
  • Our platform: The DocGen platform, including its software, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Horizontes LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
  • SSA forms: SSA form templates are U.S. government works in the public domain.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." HORIZONTES LLC IS NOT A LAW FIRM AND DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE. THE SERVICE IS A DOCUMENT GENERATION TOOL ONLY.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated documents. You are solely responsible for reviewing all documents before filing with the SSA or any other agency.

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HORIZONTES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE;
  • ANY ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR INACCURACIES IN GENERATED DOCUMENTS;
  • UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA;
  • ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT ON THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

  • By you: You may close your account at any time. Before closing, you may request a data export by contacting support@tigerteampr.com.
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. In case of termination, you will have 30 days to export your data.
  • Effect of termination: Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. Your data will be retained per our data retention policy (see Privacy Policy) and then securely deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Puerto Rico.
